The District Civil Division handles civil cases with damages of $6000.01 thru $20,000.00. Additionally, the District Civil Division has jurisdiction over evictions/unlawful detainers.

Eviction/Unlawful Detainer Filing Procedures     ONLY

Eviction-Unlawful Detainers are filed when the legal relationship between property owner and occupant is one of landlord and tenant, for example, there is some exchange of money or services in exchange for living at the subject real property.

Forms commonly used for Eviction/Unlawful Detainer case may be located at  eforms.alacourt.gov  or an Eviction/Unlawful Detainer Packet (which includes procedural information and all necessary forms) may be retrieved at the Escambia County Circuit Clerk’s office.
